A Call to Repentance!

That is why the LORD says, "Turn to me now, while there is time! Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Joel 2:12

Come now! Now is the time to come before God in repentance, asking for His forgiveness so that we may be cleansed by His grace. We do not know how much time there is left for us to come before Him as is evident by the events last Tuesday. Don't be caught off guard or unprepared, come now. He is waiting for you, He is calling you!

For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2

Come now and accept God's favor, He wants to bless you in ways you can't even imagine. All He wants from us is obedience, for us to be attentive to His calling. He wants a personal relationship with us, He wants to be our friend. Do you want to be called a friend of God? I do! I want Him to be in total control of my life and everything about it, I want to come to a point in my life that I have no will of my own but only His will in me.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:1-5

We are justified through our faith by His grace. This is a free gift from our Heavenly Father. FREE! There is nothing we can do to earn it, we just have to say yes Father I will receive your gift. Accept His gift today, don't pass it up, enjoy His blessings and be the person He wants you to be. You might say, "want does He want me to be?" He wants us to be His obedient child. Pretty simple isn't it? We don't need to complicate things up, just do what He tells us to do in scriptures. We need to rid ourselves of our past and begin anew in our new life in Him. Rejoice! God has forgiven our past and made us a new person on the day we accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior.

Repent today and receive God's comfort in all of your troubles and anxieties knowing that He is still in charge no matter what happens in this lifetime. Hear the words of the Apostle Paul, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38

My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life. Psalm 119:50

Heavenly Father, we come before you today asking forgiveness of our sins, forgive us Father as only you can do, cleanse us through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ whom you have sacrificed for our salvation. Restore unto us a clean heart oh God, and renew a right spirit within us. We seek your face Father, we find comfort in your love, we depend on you for everything. We praise you and glorify your name........in Jesus name we pray........amen
