Dialing Heaven?
Most of us have now learned to live with "voice mail," as a necessary part of our daily lives. But have you ever wondered what it would be like, if God decided to install voice mail?
Imagine praying and hearing the following:
Thank you for calling Heaven. For English, press 1. For Spanish, press 2. For all other languages, press "O."
Please select one of the following options: Press 1 for requests; press 2 for thanksgiving; press 3 for complaints; press 4 for all other inquiries.
I am sorry; all of our angels and saints are busy helping other sinners right now. However, your prayer is important to us and we will answer it in the order it was received. Please stay on the line.
If you would like to speak to God, press 1; Jesus, press 2, the Holy Spirit, press 3.
If you would like to hear King David sing a Psalm while you are holding, press 4.
To find a loved one that has been assigned to Heaven, press 5, then enter his or her social security number, followed by the "pound" sign. (If you receive a negative response, please hang up and try area code 666.)
For reservations at Heaven, please enter J-O-H-N, followed by the numbers 3-1-6.
For answers to nagging questions about dinosaurs, the age of the earth, life on other planets and where Noah's Ark is, please wait until you come for a personal office visit.
Our records show that you have already prayed today. Please hang up and try again tomorrow.

By God's grace we don't have to leave messages on a voice mail, we have a direct connection to Him anytime we call. Actually God is waiting patiently for us to call Him anytime, He wants us to talk with Him, He wants to tell us all about Himself and His son Christ Jesus.
Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and always be prayerful. Romans 12:12
Take time daily to talk to our Heavenly Father, after all He made us for His pleasure. When we spend time in prayer we are showing God how much we love Him. Think of when you were in love with your first girlfriend/boyfriend, you wanted to talk to that person every chance you got and you wanted to know all about them so you could become closer to them, hoping to develop a close personal relationship. Well my friends it is the same with God, if we truly love Him then we will want to spend time talking to Him, we will want to spend time learning all about Him so that we can develop a close personal relationship with Him.
But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. Romans 5:8
Now that is unconditional love! Even when we didn't deserve it, Christ died for us so that we may spend eternity with Him in Heaven. We can't say we love if we don't show it in thoughts and in actions. I challenge you today to spend more time in prayer telling God how much you love Him and commit yourselves to a devoted time each day to be with God in prayer. Then as you do this, take time during the day to express your love to God by short conversations with Him. Telling Him how thankful you are for all that you have, the beautiful flowers, the sunshine, your friends, your eternal life with Him, for the gift of the Holy Spirit, the abundant food on your table, the house you live in, the clothes you wear, and all that you have that has been given to you by God. The list is endless of things to be thankful for, remember all that we have is God's by His grace. Show Him your love today, tomorrow, and everyday He blesses you with life on this earth.
But the person who loves God is the one God knows and cares for. 1 Corinthians 8:3
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the love you show us and all that you have gifted us with. Help us Father to be more mindful of our first love, YOU! Father it is our desire to show you how much we love you by spending time in prayer and being obedient to your instructions. We thank you for the many blessings you have given us and we thank you and praise you for them. We are available to you today Father, invite us to be a part of your Kingdom work so that we may glorify you today. In Jesus name we pray...........amen
