Faithfulness!

If you are unwilling to serve the LORD, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD. Josh. 24:15

How faithful are we really? as it says above, "But as for me and my family, we will serve the LORD, that can be an easy statement to utter but very hard to fulfill in reality. We cannot pick and choose which part of the Bible we want to hear, we must hear it all and be obedient to every word of instruction God's gives us.

Faithfulness is an act of a commitment made to another person, to your mate, or to God. When we accept Jesus into our life, our life is no longer ours, but Christ's life living in us. So, if Christ lives in me, then I live to glorify Him!

Perseverance reveals genuine commitment. Perseverance reveals genuine believers. To believe in Jesus and "endure to the end" will take perseverance, because our faith will be challenged and opposed. Severe trials will sift true Christians from fair-weather believers. Enduring to the end does not earn salvation for us, but marks us as already saved. The assurance of our salvation will keep us going through the times of persecution.

Perseverance reveals genuine faith. Because Christ lives in us, we can remain courageous and hopeful to the end. We are not saved by being steadfast and firm in our faith, but our courage and hope do reveal that our faith is real. Without this enduring faithfulness, we could easily be blown away by the winds of temptation, false teaching, or persecution.

Beware of temptation it can swallow you up in an instant, when you encounter temptation, RUN, run as fast as you can to resist temptation. Beware of false teachings, it will appear on the outside as being genuine and sincere, but it is the work of the devil. If what is being heard can be proven with scriptures then it is true, if it cannot be backed up by scriptures it is false and not from God. Beware of those who persecute you for what you believe in, so was Jesus. We can find faith in Him who gave His life for us so that we will spend eternity with Him.

Therefore fellow believers in Christ Jesus, be faithful to the commitment, persevering to the end, so that we may receive the prize promised us. Look forward to the day when we can hear these words from God, "Well done good and faithful servant".

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
2 Timothy 4:7

Heavenly Father, we praise you above all else, we magnify your name, for you are GOD, you are our God. We thank you for the gift you have given us through your Son Jesus Christ, eternal life. We commit to you again today Father as we do each day, our whole being to serve you in any way you desire. You are the potter, we are the clay, mold me and make me this is what I pray. Give us strength and endurance Father to run the race to the end so that all we do may glorify You. Forgive us Heavenly Father, we are sinners and unworthy. Renew our strength and faith in you as we strive to become more like Jesus. We honor and glorify you Father and we sing praises daily. Thank you Father! in Jesus name we pray.......amen
