Guiding Light!Do not Fear!So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 God did not give us a heart of fear, but a heart of love! When we believe in God, and believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the living God, we have faith beyond measure that will see us through all aspects of life. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." Romans 8:15 If you fear, cry out to our Heavenly Father and He will comfort you. God is always there for us, if He is for us who can be against us? There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 1 John 4:18 Love one another as God loves us. This is the instruction Jesus gave us, to love one another. When we love as Jesus loves, we love unconditionally. When we have this kind of love for one another then our hearts and motives are pure. We need not look over our shoulder wondering what may happen because we have done good in the sight of God. Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28 Fear God! He has the ability to destroy one completely and give them their just punishment. When we are obedient we need not fear anything or anyone, God is our protector. We know that all things work for the good of God. Always look to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and your eyes and your heart will be focused on God's will and worthy of God's calling. Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2 Trust! Faith! When we really have this we need not fear anything. We know that God is in control of our life and no matter what happens to this physical body our soul will be taken up to be with God. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Philippians, "For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." Live for Christ with the expectation of one day we will be with Jesus Christ. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 Believe it! Jesus said it! My heart will not be troubled for Jesus has given me the peace of His love. We know that is all situations God is in control even in our most difficult times, God is in control. During these times of trouble, and we get all frustrated and worried it is because we are trying to be the one in control. Release it, give it to God, He can handle it all! Think back when we have been through some really difficult times in our life, that is when we grew the most spiritually. The difficult times has really only been for a short period of time. Short you say? They went on for several months or even a few years. Short in God's time line. Think of the many Bible characters God put through the test for 40 years to prepare them. Now our time of preparation God has or is taking us through is short in relationship to the 40 years. Be patient, Trust God! So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Hebrews 13:6 I am confident that man can do nothing to me that can take away my faith in Jesus Christ. I am but a passing moment in this lifetime but I will be an everlasting child of God in eternity. Let us keep our eyes fixed on the big picture of eternity and not just for the few short years we spend here on earth. Make these years on earth God has given you count for His glory to further His Kingdom. Heavenly Father, we come before you today in humble adoration, praising your name and your greatness.
