Wisdom!

For attaining wisdom and discipline; for understanding words of insight; for acquiring a disciplined and prudent life, doing what is right and just and fair; for giving prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young, let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance Proverbs 1:2-5

Having wisdom is the beginning of understanding. Wisdom without understanding is dust in the wind. Knowing God in a personal way, knowing His attributes, knowing Jesus Christ in a personal way, knowing His attributes, knowing the Holy Spirit in a personal way, and knowing His attributes are the beginning of understanding. To be able to understand the wisdom God gives us we must learn about the trinity.

"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10

The way we attain knowledge is to study the scriptures in Bible studies, home Bible study groups and in Sunday school classes. We learn about the attitudes of God in a personal way that we strive to be like His son Jesus Christ. Jesus set the example while here on earth. Here was God in the flesh capable of anything and everything on earth, yet, He chose to be a servant to all. All of Jesus' life was an example of how we are to live. He was humble, considerate, compassionate, loving, patient, long-suffering, and self sacrificing. These are but a few of our Lord's attributes. If we strive to attain the same attributes God will shower us with His wisdom and understanding.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

Now is the time to ask God for wisdom and understanding, He is waiting to grow us in ways we don't even understand. Step out of your comfort zone and let God work in you, remember, "where God guides, God provides." I know this is very hard for some to do, but God won't let us down if it is His calling.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:17

Heavenly Father, we thank you that are ready and willing to give to us all that we ask, forgive us Father for not asking and then believing. Father we ask that you will set us a blaze with desire to grow in you, asking and expecting for you to guide us and lead us. We look forward to your leading us to new heights in building your Kingdom. Thank you Father for all you do for us and the loving grace you show us. We praise you in Jesus name............amen
