Guiding Light!
Renewed Hope!
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Psalm 51:10-12
Praise God we are not without hope. When my heart is downcast and I am heavily burdened with worries I have a place to go to find comfort. I delight greatly in the Lord and my soul rejoices in my Savior for He has done great things in me. God is mindful of the humble and just to restore us to His kingdom. All we need to do is to come to Him in prayer asking for His forgiveness and for Him to renew our spirit.
We have hope in our sufferings, just as Paul tells us in Romans;
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:3-5
With this in mind, as hard as it is sometimes, I rejoice in my tribulations of sufferings, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28.
I was talking to a friend today that is going through a very emotional time in her life and was in tears through most of our conversation. I could see she was viewing her situation from a personal point of view and not from a submissive point of view from God's stand point. As God intervened into our conversation and she begin to turn her problems over to God I could see her pain easing. Not that it was going to go away, but that she leaned on God and not on her own understanding.
Problems can become unbearable when we don't have God to take them to. God is just and merciful to be there in our time of need, this is our "Hope" of relief from an unbearable situation. As Paul said above hope does not disappoint for God loves us and will provide for us in all situations if we will just take it to Him in prayer and trust in Him.
Heavenly Father, it is our prayer today that we will have that renewed hope in you, create in us a clean heart oh God and renew a steadfast spirit in us. Help us Father to trust in you for the loving hope you have given us through the Holy Spirit and to know that you will never fail us. Thank you Father for the gifts you have given us through your Son Jesus Christ, what a blessing they are. Help us Heavenly Father to be thankful and to praise you in all that we do. It is in Jesus name we pray.........amen!
