Testing!
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. 1 Corinthians 10:13
Have you ever felt you were being stretched beyond your abilities? I have, in fact I have felt this way many times. But then if we are not stretched beyond our own abilities then we can never see God working in our life. We will only accomplish what we can do ourselves or so we think and stop there. We had to come to this point in life where we can handle the situations of today, before this time we thought the same thing, "I can't handle this" and we turned to God for help. God helps, God provides and we accomplish the task through His strength and knowledge.
So now we have moved up the ladder of perseverance another step by God's grace. How quickly we forget the last time God tested us and seen us through the situation. Now here we are again saying, "I can't handle this" so we turn to God again and what does He do? He guides and He provides. All of these so called problems are just a testing ground for purposes. If we see them as opportunities to grow in Christ and to glorify His Kingdom it is then that we mature in our faith walk with God.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. James 1:12
I am looking forward to the crown of life that God has promised me. Is it easy when troubles and heartache appears? Indeed not! Not at the moment anyway, not until I can look at the situation through God's eyes, then and only then can I thank Him for the opportunity to be used by Him and to grow in Him. If we are faithful in a little then He will give us much.
From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. Luke 12:48b
These are the tests of life that will yield eternal rewards in heaven. So when trouble strikes, look at it as an opportunity to trust in God, seek His wisdom and ask for His understanding to accomplish the task He has given to you. Remember He will always provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. He will never forsake us nor will He ever leave us. We are His child, caring for us, growing us, testing us and loving us. Praise to God!
