Wait on the Lord!
Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! Psalms 27:14 NKJV
Wait you say? I don't have time to wait, I am in a hurry and I need an answer now. I am in a crisis and I am in a downward spiral Lord, I need you now! Have you ever looked back at those times and realized that waiting was just what you needed? It was a time of spiritual growth in faith, perseverance, trust and character building. Our Heavenly Father knows exactly what we need and when we need it, He won't forsake us nor leave us in times of need or difficult situations.
Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire of our hearts. Isaiah 26:8
Yet the LORD longs to be gracious to you; he rises to show you compassion. For the LORD is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him! Isaiah 30:18
When we are walking in the ways of God's laws and commands then He is just and gracious to shower us with His compassion. As we wait on the Lord in anticipation of His goodness we have comfort knowing that He will provide for us as a mother provides for her child. WAIT! Sometimes we must wander in the desert to reach that next level of spiritual growth God has in store for us. God knows what is best for each one of us, after all He is our Heavenly Father.
But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
God will hear your prayers. Watch in hope, for hope never fails us. As Paul tells us in Romans, Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:4-5
In conclusion, be of good cheer, rejoicing that God loves us enough to put us through the trials of life, it is only through love that we care enough to train up a child in the way he should go. Praise God, that He loves us enough to grow us in our walk with Jesus Christ. Keep looking up toward God, for He is our salvation and our hope for eternity.
Heavenly Father, we praise you this day for your promises to never leave us nor forsake us, even when we walk away from you, you are always there with open arms to receive us back into your family. Thank you Father for your love and your guidance in growing us to become more like your son Jesus. What an awesome God we serve, angels bow before Him, heaven and earth adore Him, what an awesome God we serve. I could sing of your love forever. Great are you and greatly to be served Daddy. I get a song of praise in my heart every time I think of you. What a joy and blessing it is to be called a child of God. Heavenly Father we bring all honor and praise to you and we humbly bow before you in adoration..............in Jesus name we pray.......amen
