Time!

How are we using it? Are we using it to serve God? Are we wasting it on foolishness? Or, are we even aware of time?

As we grow in years we realize how important time is and fast it seems to pass by. We need to be using our time wisely to serve God and keep His commandments. How we use our time tells God how much or how little we love Him. What are you telling God today? In Ecclesiastes we are told the meaning of time;

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
1-There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
2-a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3-a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,
4-a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5-a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6-a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7-a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8-a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

Man seems to be in a mad pursuit of one thing then another, laboring as if he could master the world, open its secrets, change its fundamental structures, break through the bounds of human limitations and master his own destiny. We seem to pursue hopes and expectations that in reality are dust in the wind.

But faith teaches us that God has ordered all things according to His purposes and man's role is to accept these, including his own limitations, as Gods divine appointments. Man therefore, should be patient and enjoy life as God give it. We should know our own limitations and be prudent in everything, living mindfully before God.

Therefore how we spend our time and accept what God has purposed for us will determine how we build our treasures in heaven. As Jesus was teaching to the crowd one day he said;

Matthew 6:20
But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today in humility and reverence seeking your purpose and divine appointment for our lives. It is our desire to be obedient to your word and to seek your face, we will be more mindful of our time so that is it spent building treasures in heaven and not here on earth. We desire to please you Heavenly Father for all that you have done for us and we thank you for our salvation.........in Jesus name we pray...........amen
