Guiding Light! The Better Way!I would rather see a sermon than hear one any day. I would rather one would walk with me than merely show the way. The eye is a better pupil and more willing than the ear. Fine council is confusing but an example is always clear. And the best of all preachers are the men who live their creeds, For to see the good in action is what everybody needs. I can soon learn how to do it if you will let me see it done, I can watch your hands in action but your tongue to fast may run. And the lectures you deliver may be very wise and true, But I would rather get my lesson by observing what you do. For I may misunderstand the high advice you give, But there is no misunderstanding how you act and how you live. author unknownTo this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:21 Let us be an example of God's love for all that we do, not just in words but in how we live our lives. This is what people around us see, they don't always hear what we say, but they do see how we live. If we say we have the love of Jesus Christ in us and we live contrary then the truth is not in us. I challenge you today to live your life as if Jesus were walking along side you in person! Heavenly Father, it is our prayer today that you will open our minds to your word so that we may put it into application in our lives and not just know it, but, "Do It." Open our ears Lord to hear your calling each day as we walk in your light. Open our eyes Lord so that we may see the good in everyone. Open our heart Lord that we may share the love you have given us. Open our mouth Lord that we may speak edifying words for you and comfort someone today. Father, we praise you and bring all glory to you this day.
