Forgiveness!
Can you think of anything too hard for God to do? Think back of something in your past that is still haunting you today that you cannot imagine God can forgive you for. Think about what you consider to be an impossible task for God. Nothing you say? Don't doubt God's power, we rob ourselves of the great gifts of a clear conscience and fellowship with God.
This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all righteousness. 1 John 1:5-9
We believe by faith, bottom line! God says it, we believe it, period. Not that easy you say? Sure it is, we just need to do like Nike's slogan says, "Just Do It". Our forgiveness is not based on anything we do, but what Christ has done. So thank God for what He has done and ask Him as often as need be to remove the guilt from your heart and to accept the forgiveness He has given to you.
All that we do is based on "Faith" by trusting in God and believing His word we walk by faith believing He can and will do all things in our life. Step out in that leap of faith, trust God for all of your needs and desires. Let Him be the one in charge of your life, let go and let God. When we let God do all things in our life then what we do is only the things God can do through us and this way He gets all the glory.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will--to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding. Ephesians 1:3-8
There you have it, the forgiveness of sin in God's grace. We need not look any further or doubt anymore, God has spoken it and so it is. Now we need to forgive ourselves, if we don't forgive ourselves then we put ourselves above God. This is not a good idea and it is very risky playing God, don't do it. Set yourself free of your past guilt's so that God may work wonders in you.
Okay here we go right now, say these words after me, "Heavenly Father I come to you in humble adoration seeking your forgiveness for my sins, my short comings, and my weaknesses. Please accept my apologies and give me the strength to be a better servant today. Cleanse me in the blood of Christ and I will indeed be cleansed. I accept your promise of forgiveness and thank you for it, and I vow to do my best today to follow your instructions. I forgive myself as you have forgiven me and I walk in the newness of life today. I praise you and I honor your glorious name Father.......it is in my Lord and Saviors name, Jesus Christ that I pray today......amen
You are forgiven, you are cleansed in the blood of Christ. Now go out this day and act as a person of God's family, hold your head high, be bold for Christ. No one, let me say it again, "NO ONE", except Jesus Christ has power over you, so don't let anyone drag you down today. Choose this day whom you will follow! Then let Him lead you!
Heavenly Father, we thank you for all the mighty works you do in our life and we accept your gift of forgiveness and we vow to do our very best today to be the child you desire us to be. We will not harbor any of the past today, we set it out of our heart, mind, and soul, it is a past life never to be brought back to life again. We sing of your righteousness and we declare your praise among all men this day for the mighty works you have done in us. In Jesus name we pray......amen
